Intelligent Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) require a range of sensing technology radar, LiDAR and opto-electronic imaging sensors that must be robust, reliable and precise. An example of this technology are camera modules which must be aligned perfectly to the sensor die during their production in order to improve the imaging quality.
The ASM AUTOPIA is an innovative solution for this. With its Active Alignment feature, reading the image signal of the CMOS sensor while it positions the lens to the optimum position. This ensures the perfect optical alignment of the entire system before it is fixed in place. The ASM AUTOPIA aligns the sensor and the lens with 11 degrees of freedom – individually, automatically and with exceptional precision for tasks like wide-angle and/or combined with near-field applications.
